I have been very touched to hear and see all the black men and women, young and old exclaim through tear filled eyes "I am so proud to be an American" "only in America could this happen" "this is the greatest country on earth". Ideals I have always believed.

This election is a great milestone for our country to have passed. It needed to actually happen, not just be a theoretical possibility. Hopefully we will be more united and everyone will feel included.

President elect Obama's acceptance speech was perfect in content and scope, beautifully delivered. McCain's concession speech as well. Speaking of Obama, "He was my opponent, now he is my President." is the attitude I hope everyone accepts going forward.

Silly me, I thought the election was about economic policy, foreign policy, domestic policy, etc. It wasn't. It was about hope longed for and fulfilled. I will pray everyday for Obama's safe keeping and protection. God Bless America.
