There are very few instances if any, where responsible gun owners shoot people. How many of your neighbors that have guns have used them to kill or commit crimes? While there are exceptions to every rule, I believe most gun owners are law abiding and in some cases help to deter crime.
If LV is to terrifing for you maybe you should move to Chicago or Australia 
Remember guns don't kill people... People kill people.
Where's your outcry about drunk drivers? They kill many people too.
