That happens in EVERY single election concession speach I have ever seen. It is easy to be magnanimous when you are the winner. Not so when you lose. Democrats do it. Republicans do it.

And the crowd in Chicago didn't cheer. It was polite applause. Just like the polite applause McCain got when he asked the crowd to work with Obama.

Those "silly" folks had to swallow a tough pill. How would you expect them to react?

I voted for Obama, and am very happy with the result. I don't think we need to imply that the supporters of the losing side are anything but disappointed.
