I watched both, and the "thousands" cheering in Chicago almost covered the boos.

What I really want to know is, why is it now so important to respect our President? Bush has been slammed from day one. He was slammed throughout this campaign and Bush wasn't even running again. Come together? Support our current President! That would be coming together. Of course, that won't happen. The Messiah has three more months to attack Bush, and he will. He will blame many of his failures (and there will be many) on Bush.

It really bothers me that somehow some folks expect the political environment to change just because their guy will occupy the oval office. You want us to act differently than you have? I don't think so. The character assassination leveled against our still sitting President cannot be written off that easily.
