Sorry to hear about the trauma of the home invasion. I completely understand your position & why you did what you had to do. It's just a shame that that is an option you had or had to take.

I also agree with you on one front...."It would give criminals a decided advantage over their potential victims". Unfortunately you're right. As it has been that way for hundreds? of years, it's a way of life for many people now & no matter how hard anyone tried, you'd never be able to get it under control. There's just too many guns & too much money tied up in the weapons industry. I don't think you'll ever hear a president vowing to ban firearms.....he'd be shot.

If you ever come down under for a holiday you won't have to worry about any of that stuff. No drive bys or home invasions where I live. Just don't go backpacking through central Australia........nah, no need to worry about that, you're not English Spragg on the otherhand.....
