I've been a big Norton fan for a LONG time (8+ years) despite all the horror stories I hear....then about a month ago I got a pop-up from them saying that I was entitled to 2009 for free (probably for about 6 months). I did the upgrade they sent me and had nothing but problems with booting up, getting to the Net, having my machine lock up on me all the time.... I finally uninstalled it and did AVG free...no problems since....just be careful if you get it ..make sure you have backups and are comfortable with booting up in Safe mode, etc
