This token was initially released in two versions. While I am not sure what the difference metals were, there was a brite, silvery version (shown) and the more common (less shiny) version. The shiny ones were handed out as Grand Opening momentoes.

NOTE: With the advent of TITO (EZ Pay) (ticket systems) it seems that slot machine tokens are a thing of the past. While $1 tokens are fairly plentiful, the higher denominations are not seen as often. Now, I don't have a great number of these, but what few $5 slot machine tokens I do have, I thought that others might be interested in seeing them, so I will be trying to post one daily (as a "$5 Slot Machine Token of the Day" series) until I run out of examples.
