1. Top: ivory appears to be cut "with the grain".
Bottom: ivory is crosscut or cut against the grain (note nerve hole). All chips in my collection are cut this way.
2. Top: 8 points all appear to be "cut" exactly the same and pierce the outer rim by the exact same margin.
Bottom: points appear to stop at outer ring although their shape varies. Any rim piercing is not uniform.
3. Top: the engraving is not centered.
Bottom: engraving is centered as are the engravings in every chip in my collection.
4. Top: Lines appear to begin and end uniformly.
Bottom: lines begin thick then taper to a fine point.
5. Top: lines are rough.
Bottom: lines are smooth.
