As a student in economics and social anthropology I can feel exactly how those folks are going through now - especially those who are raising new families in the area. Google and Yahoo themselves are laying off hundreds of employees, but it is a relief to think that they are coming to the area for their businesses. I don't know so much about paypal but for certain ebay is also suffering a tremendous reduction of their fees - judging from the number of sellers and buyers holding off for now in this hard times - which I think will continue through summer. I sincerely pray that it will not drag on to a year or so.
