Of course it is deficult to define what is a "fake" (recreation) and what is an antique recarving.
All I am trying to say is that the seller is making these chips TODAY! A hundred years from now there may be a collectible value. However even a 100 years from now a close inspection would reveal that they weren't carved by the original carvers of the 19th century.
Now if someone wants to buy them, go ahead. Heck, I should feel honored. He ripped off some of his designs from my website (as only I and one other had the original chips). I do know that the people I know that I have talked with were none too happy when they realized what they purchased.
