... it seems to me that many members who say they want to participate in many club functions (like OTY, HOF, etc.) but when it comes time to attend the only public meeting the club has each year for the membership to speak their mind, they stay away in droves. Must be something magical about a keyboard.

As for the Catch-22 meeting times for many of the scheduled and posted events that take place ... when the club tried holding some of the meetings, seminars, etc. during the show hours, some of the table holders complained that they weren't able to attend when they had to be behind their table(s). When the meetings are scheduled during out of show hours, with few exceptions, I don't see too many of the same table holders present at the meetings.

I would suggest let's try it again some early afternoon in '09 ... when everyone is awake.
