First off, having a son in college, I can feel your pain concerning the lack of scholarship money. My son Andrew made good grades in high school, is an Eagle Scout, and was involved in extracurricular activities at school but he couldn't get any scholarships or grants to save his life so it's student loans for us.

Secondly, I work at a computer data storage, research and development facility in Wichita Kansas and work with dozens of foreign students. From talking to some of them I can tell you that the majority of them are "paying through the nose" when it comes to tuition. Out of state tuition a US residents is double what in-state tuition is and the foreign students are paying between three and four times the in-state rate. IMHO, the local state university, Wichita State University, is pretty aggressive recruiting the foreign students because it pays so well.
