I was at the Taj Mahal this past Saturday night. You could barely get through the throngs of people there.
I also spoke to a former casino employee who has several members of his family that still work there who told me that not only did they enjoy the smoke free days but the toke rate was up.

Heaven forbid that it should be the cut back in comps, the cutback in services, the nature of the economy, the price of gas, the competition from other venues none of that has had any impact on the casino business at all.
Yep it must be the smoking ban.

Instead of the marketing geniuses creating promotions to lure customers away from other venues and have to answer to higher ups about the cost, it's certainly easier to point fingers

Here my business too has suffered and it wasn't until now that I knew the reason. Must be becasue I don't allow smoking in my shop

What we should do now is watch the numbers in the next few months and then ask what excuses the casinos are using for business being off. Perhaps we can blame the weather or the holidays I'm sure they will think of something
