hey Arch....
I am sure the bylaws can take care of those issues. Most all 501 C3 organizations that I have worked with were founded through a
volunteer spirit and structure. Then they eventually grow to the point where they need to take the load off the founders in order to
grow the organization to new levels. The founders then usually enjoy guiding the organization through a BOD position. The President and
the (ED or CFO) are completely different roles for good reason. I think they should be different people. The organization gets by with the way it is.
If our BOD is happy with donating their time to guide the organization as well as breaking up and sharing all of the daily work that is required of
a Executive Director position, I guess it functions at this time. However If we really want this club and hobby to grow I suspect they will eventually
enjoy overseeing a Paid ED, where they can hold that person accountable to their duties and then focus on the role of a Board Member which is
fundraising and guiding the club. "Not in that order". God bless our BOD. They deserve thanks from all of us, and I'm guessing the work load will
not be any easier any time soon.
