Hey Gene, I was thinking....
With the club's 501 C3 status do you think it is possible to procure donations of "space". It is a tax write off for contributors and great PR.
Also, I'm sure that we could write for local and state grants for funding these types of opportunities. Educating the public is
exactly what our mission calls for and its where we should be focusing decent resources. We have the legal status, we should be taking full advantage of it.
And while on the topic.... I'll toss it out there again....
I still think the club needs a paid Executive Director to run the daily business of the club and organize these things. The current volunteer nature can only go so far. If we really want to get serious about representing the hobby, this needs to be addressed by the BOD. Don't forget, BOD is the Boss of the ED, they hire and fire.
