In fact, I too have many rich and varied experiences in my life - growing up in different places with people who had differing ideas - that have animated my business journey ( I too have lived overseas, have a pretty good understanding of our military, have a 4-year degree, have run several businesses, and have been entrusted with the "keys" to a couple multi-million dollar business with millions of shareholders). Amid the partisanship and bickering of today's public debate, I still believe in the ability to unite people around a politics of purpose - a politics that puts solving the challenges of everyday Americans ahead of partisan calculation and political gain. Because of this, I will run for office in the near future. Or maybe not.
FWIW, not every US President with plenty of experience has been worth a crap, and not every US President that had little experience before taking office was a flop - a couple did a hell of a job. I hope our next president surrounds himself with the finest that his office can attract, and does his job with at least half the vigor and promise that both candidates have attacked the campaign trail.
