If a "Friend" calls and asks you to help them out in a sticky situation, would you help them ? What if the person says that he/she would return the $$$ 4 days later.

Well....I have that situation. A "friend" called me up and told me that he/she is in a bind and could he/she borrow $300. Well, being a "friend" I did and the person told me that he/she would return it 4 days later. It's now been almost 4 months and I keep getting the runaround about it..."the check is in the mail", or "I'm tapped right now", "living at my parents house". "it will get there when it gets there" (now been 9 days since THAT was written).

I'm trying to be calm and rash about this but I'm pulling on hair out on what the next fib/lie to going to be.

What would you do ? How would you react ?
