They didn't bill her for seeing a doctor. She went to the ER for a non-emergency and received services, so she should at least be billed the equivalent of a two-drink minimum. Her time with the nurse kept a more urgent matter from being handled more quickly - the purpose of an ER. I don't have a problem with the health care industry for billing that type of service. If they didn't bill her, they would be adding it to mine.
