There are two other new varieties on the Chip Guide. The first, a bold lettered cream colored Stellaris chip I don't have. Anyone have an extra? The second, a green tinted smooth (no ribs) Crystal Casino chip seems to me to look like all of the smooth chips from there. Those chips in pristine condition look less green and those that are more worn and dirty look more green. In addition, the fact that the two chips on the Guide were made with different scanners further muddies the picture. I remain skeptical about this variety.

Here is a difference that Brian Cashman and I have both seen in chips from The Casino in the Radisson:

It is subtle on the scan (less so in person), but I am really not sure if it is simply due to wear. At the present, I am fine saying it is not a true variation, but I am keeping all of these chips in my collection:

The newest chip on the right looks royal blue in person, while the other two look like shades of teal. Still, only the royal blue chip is truly in new condition, so who knows.

I hope you enjoyed this, and some of the newer chip board watchers/posters could see a little easier some of the distinctions made in determining chip varieties.
