It seems like "that" is exactly what they are really trying to say.
I'm guessing it does not apply here.

This is a truism. keep it in mind the next time someone is "not trying" to do anything.

As for these interviews, we live in a country full of ding dongs, BLACK, WHITE AND OTHER and they are voting.
You will get similar responses in most parts of the country, actually... it's another point for further (education funding)

I do think it is pretty impressive that a man from a race/(people) that were brought to our country to be slaves not that long ago, has a real chance at being the President.
Makes for interesting politics, and don't blame people for voting for who they relate with. It's always been like that.
