As a means of communicating with other members, I'd suggest positioning a bulletin board near the entrance that allows members to leave notes for one another.

I am not talking about posting advertisements. I am talking about messages like...

"John, we made it. How about meeting back here at 2:00."

or, "Sue, we have the show tickets, see you there at 7."

I suspect that a board like this would also eliminate some of the paging that happens. This is not to say that the paging is wrong, but by it's very nature, paging is intended to interupt all activities. A bullentin board will permit an alternative means of communication.
