If you have pets, please make sure your paper shreader is turned off when not in use. My cousins 6 month old Sheepdog puppy got his ear caught in his paper shreader and it took the fire department over an hour to get him loose. Thank God the vet came to the house and sedated the pup after a while and he was in a lot of pain. According to the vet...it is common for this to happen but mostly with the tongue not the ear. The pup is ok but had to have a large portion of the ear amputated as it was shreaded beyond repair. The worst part of the whole ordeal is this is my cousin that is battling cancer and he got the pup after having to put his old dog down due to poor health. This was very stressful for all.

So I thought I'd share the warning as I had my shreader on at the time and shut it down quickly after hearing about the ordeal.
