what a day it has been. I needed to go to an oral dental surgeon to get one of my wisdom teeth pulled (yes 60 years old and still have them) and I did a sad accidental thing to my dog. Trying to get ready and get his meds and mine I accidentally gave him my anti-inflammatory versus his antibiotic (they look alike). I knew it quickly and called the vet and they had me call animal control for poison. They got on it right away and I told them I'm taking him to the vet and let them deal with this. The vet told me, per their instructions he has to stay for 48 hrs to feed him IV fluids to get this out of his system to avoid renal (kidneys) stoppage. We could not get him to up chuck it. Anyway, I cant believe after all we have done and he has been through and doing so well, I do dumb thing like this and I really thought we may lose him. We went there earlier and he ate for us and we took him out and did well for us. I will go there tomorrow and make sure he eats and watch over all his meds and his eyes. He takes so much since the radiation treatment 10 months ago. We really wont know if this has caused any damage until at least 48 hrs and then one week.
