In 1980 someone tried extorting Harveys by putting a very large bomb in the building. They built a bomb and put it in a large office machine box and parked it in Harvey's offices. Harveys was a great casino, it looked like something out of the 50's & 60's before it got bombed. It got an extensive renovation when it re-opened and lost some of it's charm (IMHO). It was just never the same old feel - kind of lost a bit of its western charm.
