Lately it seems that we have as many posts on politics as we do on chips. These discussions are going to have no effect on anyone’s opinion and have no beneficial value for the club or to this board and I believe are actually harming our hobby.
I enjoy reading the boards on cruisecritic.com as well and this is what they have to say about political posts:
“We understand that, with the upcoming Presidential election, some of you are very passionate about your choice of candidates. That is, of course, a good thing!
However, we are a community of folks who love to cruise, and in order to keep things on an even keel, we would appreciate that discussion of candidates, issues and "promotional" images for candidates not be placed on our forums.”
I think this is well said and should be adopted by Greg for this board and for the club board as well. We are not going to solve the problems in this country here and all we stand to do is alienate people and drive them away from this board and the hobby.
Please for the good of our hobby vote to stamp out political posts.
Thanks
