You also stated in your subject line of a previous post that you; "hope members contribute their input".
What else would you like me to say Rick? What is there to work out? I don't know what purpose your reference to being "that Canadian Guy" has anything to do with the subject at hand. The name of the club is the "CASINO Chip & Gaming Token Collectors Club" ... not the "Personal Chip Collectors Club". If there is a strong sentiment among CC & GTCC members to create a special award for Personal Chips ... (including personal chips issued by non-club members) then I would suggest that you submit your suggestion to the currently elected club officers to authorize such an award and establish the rules if it is your expectation to have the club pay for such an award.
Because I don't agree with the concept doesn't make me 'negative'. I've merely responded to your call for member input ... and you obviously are upset because I don't support your position... thereby dismissing me as being 'negative'.
Should the club create an award for the best swizzle stick of the year ... or the best matchbook cover? I understand and appreciate the desire to have fun and to do fun things in this hobby. "Splashbar" is a good example of having fun without official club approval or sponsorship. Ditto for Greg Susong's annual gatherings at The Palms ... another non-club sponsored fun event. What's wrong with doing the personal chip activity on the same level?
