I have having just an unbelievable streak at Harrah's playing in their weekend morning poker tournaments. The tournament is a $30 buy-in with 60 players max and it starts at 10am. Every week it sells out (many times before 8:30am). So I have been getting there about 7:30am and play a little bit of $3/$6 limit or $1/$2 no-limit for a couple hours until the tournament starts.

I played last Saturday (eight days ago), and then I played yesterday, and then today... Here are the results for my last three tournaments:

Last weekend, I got down to heads-up with a very tough player and we played heads-up for a little bit. Finally after going back and forth with the chip count, we agreed to just quit and chop up the prize money (Sorry Andy - I know you hate those types of outcomes). (I didn't play last Sunday as I like to watch Chiefs with Diane).

Yesterday, in cash game play before the tournament I had pocket aces and they got cracked. Starting at 8am, Harrahs have a promotion where they award $100 to any player that has pocket aces cracked. While in a $3/$6 limit game I had my aces cracked! Sweet... Then in the tournament I do awesome once again and got heads-up. I was out chipped 2-to-1 and we didn't even talk about chopping (I also thought I could outplay the other guy who was heads-up with me). I slowed played two monster hands and the kid I was up against went all-in twice when I slow played them and I won the tournament outright.

Well, as we all know the Chiefs are horrible and with my good luck recently I decided get up early this morning and play again. Once again... $3/$6 limit table and I got aces cracked and won $100 (see receipts below). Then in the tournament, I got heads-up yet AGAIN (3 in a row). Right after I knocked out the 3rd place player, I had almost even stack with remaining player and we chopped up the 1st+2nd place money again.

For the past seven weeks I have played in that tournament either on Saturday or Sunday. This weekend I played in it both days. For those eight tournaments I've placed in the money five times (6th, 5th, 1st, two 1st+2nd place chops).

(Pretty soon Harrah's will be expanding their poker room and they said the tournament will expand to 80 players).
