The Original Yankee Stadium 1923-1973(The House That Ruth Built) Was a Masterpiece, My Grandfather Loved This Ballpark, He had been to Shibe, Ebbets, Tiger, Municipal, Crosley, Polo Grounds and Fenway. He was a Die Hard Red Sox Fan but always Said that the best Ballpark he ever went too was The Original Yankee Stadium. He went once in 1978 to Yankee Stadium II, He hated it, he said it was too small of a field, The old Time feeling was gone and it felt more like Riverfront, Three Rivers and The Vet, which he said he would never go to. When Yankee Stadium III opens in April I think it will be more like YS2 on the inside, The outside may look Retro from the Early and Mid 1900's. They should have found the old Plans from the 1920's and rebuilt the original. It probally won't be as bad as when Steinbrenner wanted to move the Team to Central Jersey in the Mid 80's. Sunday shouldn't be the last game, if the powers that be would have Kept Joe Torre instead of hiring that bonehead, I think they would have Beat the White Sox and beat the Angels, but lose in 7 to the Cubs.
