Frank, I know exactly what has driven up the costs of oil and gasoline. My point was Pelosi promised to reduce the price of these commodities if she was reelected. The only way she could have accomplished that promise would have been to open known oil rich areas to new drilling. She fought that idea at every step, and continues to fight it today. That is THE Democrat political election strategy used by the Speaker of the House. Make promises that you not only don't intend to keep, but fight against making any possibility of those promises becoming reality. It is no wonder that the Democratically controlled Congress has single-digit approval ratings.
