Also, keep in mind, MoveOn.org has been pushing for Obama hard, and raising money in the process. Maybe some of that money is going to Obama directly too but even if it doesnt, it is some serious advertising they are doing. They got $8 out of me for another Obama shirt after they separately sent me 2 free Obama bumper stickers. MoveOn is advertising hard via FaceBook.com and this probably doing a good job reaching lots of young people. Some of those young people are old enough to vote! The recent 'polls' have one problem - the phone numbers of all the newly registered young democrats are not available yet to the cold callers for those polls so it isn't a real representation of the country. I think come election we'll see lots more of those Obama votes seemingly 'come out of nowhere', since they werent represented in the polls.
I have heard a few times (1 source listed below) that since 2004 election the republicans have not gained a single state, however they have lost approx 5 states to the blue team and the 'swing' states have all lost the red teams edge. Florida is currently 48% to 48%. That is what I call change!
Check out this electoral site that gives the US map with red & blue state colors and totals up to date with new polls (Florida is inaccurately red and is now nuetral):

These chips are all available or , some of them have blue, some have red, some have both, no bias in this sale!:
