9/11. My cousin, one of NY's bravest survived the initial attacks and is now battling cancer from spending so much time in the hole in hopes of saving just one of his friends that he lost that day. He is 41 years old and has been through multiple surgeries and lives in daily pain. We thank God for every day that he is here. And even knowing what pain and suffering it has caused him, he has not lost his will to fight it and says he has no regrets for going in there to help.
