In Response To: All right, enough is enough!! ()

...reason why Obama should be the last person in this country to occupy the Whitehouse (though there are quite a few). The Global Poverty Act, known as S.2433 which Obama shepherded into the Senate earlier this year. It requires the President of the United States "to develop and implement a comprehensive policy to cut extreme global poverty in half by 2015 through aid, tax debt relief, and coordination with the international community, businesses and NGO's."

The year this goal is to be accomplished is significant in that it would be toward the end of an Obama second term as President, so he could claim credit for it. It wouldn't be his credit to take. It would be the American tax payer's credit to take at great expense. This single initiative would commit the US to spending 0.7% of the US GDP on foreign aid, $845 Billion over and above what we are already spending. To do what? Further line the pockets of despots and dictators who purposely keep their populations in poverty. It wouldn't work, and it'd be huge transfer of American tax dollars to the tyrants who govern the majority of the most impoverished countries on this planet, tyrants who openly espouse and promote hatred of America.

It is no wonder why Obama has the endorsements of Hugo Chavez, Fidel Castro, Muammar Qaddafi and Mahmoud Ahmadinejad.
