When we say "others fought for your right to vote," sometimes we mean "others were beaten for your right to vote." This is particularly true for women and for Blacks.

It is important for all those of voting age to get informed and then vote.

By the way, the media will criticize the public again this year because "only" 70% or so will vote. Next year the media will report - as it did a few years ago - that 20% of voter registrations are inaccurate due to death or moves. Thus, take pride that closer to 90% of valid registered voters actually will cast a ballot in the presidential election.
