The weather always seems relatively the same no matter when I'm in San Diego--cold if you're in the shade and hot if you're in the sun! Seriously, it could be cool in the mornings and evenings, but will probably feel pretty nice if you're coming from Syracuse.

I'm thinking the ocean will be way too cold to swim in without a wetsuit, but you'll see plenty of diehard locals out there doing it on a daily basis.
