Does anyone (Gene) know what a typical chip order is when a casino replaces all of its chips? For instance, when Barbary Coast closed and Bill's started, roughly how many chips of each denomination would Bill's have to order? Is there a standard number depending on how many table licenses you have?
If a casino goes out of business and a new one opens up do the old chips immediately lose their value or will the previous owners still be required to cover them somehow? For instance, if Hooter's goes out of business and we all pool our money and buy the building to open our own casino, (The Clown Club of course!) do we still have to honor the Hooter's chips? If not, who honors the old chips?
Also regarding liability, if a casino has to put money aside to cover all their chips, do they also have to cover their backup chip sets as well even though they're not using them?
Finally, how does a casino cover their liability for Jackpots? Are they required to cover a jackpot for every machine? I know it's nearly impossible but if their "truly" random slots all hit Jackpots on the same day would the casino have to cover them all?
If anyone decides to write "Owning your own Casino for Dummies" let me know.
