Hi Everyone. I'm a recent addition to the CCGTCC and started collecting a few months ago. I'd wanted to collect chips for a while and now I've finally started I'm really glad I did! It's a great hobby but I'm getting very confused about how chips can vary so much in cost depending on who is selling the chip. For example, I've been collecting Tropicana house chips. The $100 second edition fountain chip is listed on one dealer's website as R7 rarity and $800 value according to C&W but is being sold at a third of that value, which seems strange. On another site it is being sold for $500. On ebay I paid $80 and another has just been sold for $42. How do you know what is a fair price? I know there are new editions of C&W and the Chip Rack coming soon, so maybe I should wait. Thanks for your opinions.
