Hi... The storm is not "little." It's a Cat-2 on landfall and continues to be a Cat-2 while well inland... and over marsh wetlands. Additionally, these suckers move very slowly at the rate of 12-17 mph while dumping 1 to 2 inches of rain per hour. NOLA is below sealevel for the most part, and during Katrina there were over 1800 lives lost in the area. Every precaution was taken to save lives. Everyone involved in the efforts to do so should be thanked, not looked at as if they're half-crocked, or something.
