I think the bar makes waaaay more than $15,000 on any nite. My daughter runs the bar at BB Kings here in Nashville and a $15,000 nite would be a very poor weekend nite for her. My guess is that Harrahs takes in 3-5 times that amount. As far as your service complaints I have to agree. At the convention the pit boss at Slots a Fun was complaining that MGM cut their and Circus's payroll by 30% and it showed. They had customers waiting to play at the tables but no dealers. The one place where Harrahs must be doing something right is in Tunica. Their new property was packed last week even if the normally busy Horseshoe was mostly empty. According to a pit boss friend the business is down 30%. Sheraton was deserted. This friend also suggested that Harrahs may plan on shedding some properties, possibly including the Horseshoe brand.
If you are travelling 9 1/2 hours to get to AC then I would suggest that there are lots of Harrahs or other properties that would be more suitable to your needs. Personally I have always disliked AC because of the high minimums and higher room rates. Come to Tunica some time where you can still get a decent $29 room and play full pay BJ for $10 minimum or find banks of $.25 9/6 Jacks or better. The only thing you won't find there is a lot of other activities in the area. When you go there it is to gamble. Good luck wherever you end up.
