O.K., so a few hundred times I've mentioned having old Nevada phone books, or looked stuff up in them when someone has come up with an old match cover...or whatever. I thought a few of you might get a kick out of seeing some of the yellow pages from the 1945 Nevada phone book. It covers the whole state, but there's an "R" on the book, that I believe indicates the Reno version...cuz that's where most of the ads are from.

FYI, they didn't have a yellow pages catagory for casinos...so you learn to look for amusement places, beer parlors, clubs, cocktail lounges, hotels, restaurants, etc. Hopefully you can read them...
