Re: Post Office problems
In Response To: Post Office problems ()

I was glad to see them allow first class mailings to be shipped with delivery confirmation a few years ago- the catch is the item mailed must be at least 3/4 inch thick. I NEVER ship items sold on Feebay without confirmation, and here and there I must thicken the package to meet the rules.

Here's my tip- fold a small piece of cardboard around the chip and tape it closed. Remember- the bubblemailer must be 3/4 inch thick at its thickest point... not the whole mailer. Ive even had a over zealous counter worker pull out a pre-cut plastic stencil that had a 3/4 inch slot cut in it and measured to be sure I wasnt "cheating"! LOL! The cardboard adds extra protection for the item anyway, and adds very little extra weight.

Im still waiting for a worker to claim my shipment of dice isnt 3/4"... since the dice alone are made to within 1/1000" of 3/4.
