I would imagine that the Riv hotel executive who is in charge of booking space knows what he/she is doing ..., or he/she won't be in that positon for very long.

I do know that the Riv has had several other conventions, conferences, and catered functions running simultaneously at the same time as our past few conventions ... some are larger functions and some are smaller ... and yes, they do have lots of space going for them at reasonable rates which is why the site is in so much demand ... but not to be overlooked is the fact that it is populary located on the famous LV Strip! In addition, the nostalgic connections to 'old' Las Vegas that are slowly being dismantled one at a time, the Riviera remains part of the lure and historical attraction for many. Once it is gone ... and a brass and glass tower is erected in its place, then ... and only then, after it's demise, will the property as it is today be appreciated.
