Several of the regulars in Las Vegas, Kansas City and on this board know my nephew Randal Hawkins. At this years convention he talked with several of you about the fact that he had the lymphoma that he thinks stems from his working on the hydrogen bomb at Bendix in Kansas city where he worked for thirty years and he was getting treatments for it.
I would stay at his condo on Dorinda ave in LV where they have lived for several years. when I went to our conventions (this year included) .We had a nice visit but he was tired and complained of his back bothering him about the time I left to fly back to Kansas June 23. About a week later he could hardly walk so his wife Donna took him to the hospital.They found a tumor on his spine
so they removed and fused and pinned it and he went to rehab .While in rehab he became sick to his stomach and was found to have Colitis,( inflammation of the colon, or large intestine) so back to the hospital to be treated by an Infectious disease doctor where he remains now in a critical care unit as of this morning.I am sure we all wish him a speedy recovery
