JMHO, I would consider any chip that comes out around the time of the opening of the casino that commemorates the opening of the casino, in any way, to be a grand opening chip. I don't really think of the opening of a new part of an already open casino (such as the various chips for the various "casinos" at the Mohegan Sun, sorry Chris) to be a grand opening chip. Those, I consider limited edition commemoratives. Still nice, but I just can't see them as true grand opening chips.
