A foreign immigrant has to be able to speak and read enough English to pass the tests required to legally become an American citizen. Only American citizens can legally vote in our elections, so there should be absolutely no need for bilingual ballots in this country today. None.
Due process in our court system (providing translators) for non-citizens really has nothing to do with with what we're seeing happening. Those provisions should be there, and wouldn't be affected by making English our official language.
