What I said is if there will ever be an official language it should be both Spanish and English and I expressed reasoning; both English and Spanish are widely used throughout the USA.

It's fact that by the mid-2030s, Hispanics and other minorities will be far larger than half of the total. So why not cast something in stone now to help preserve the American language?

Again, if other countries around the world can do it, so can we.
