In my opinion, adopting practices that promotes the erosion of the English language in the United States only weakens us as a country and promotes separation among communities. English unites us as a country. We should have one official spoken language for all U.S. citizens. If Americans want to speak more than one language, that is great. I'm not saying it should be the only language. But we all should be on the same page in regards to language (English language) in order to be efficient and strong as a united country.

Isn't it odd that English is the official language of the United Nations yet Americans such as yourself feel it shouldn't be for our country? That's wacky if you ask me.

When English, French and Spanish speaking people started populating the Americas, the number one speaking language was not Spanish... Based on your logic, I guess we all should be speaking what the Natives spoke at the time but history didn't go that way nor do I want our future to go in the direction that you promote.
