I think we are living in the age where right before our eyes we are watching the demise of America. Just like the Greek, Roman, and Persian empires we have had our day in the sun.
Without getting into any kind of political debate especially with election time around the corner we have turned into a society where we make excuses of why things can't be done rather than doing them.
We export our jobs, we give away our technology, our school system leaves a lot to be desired and as a country we can't even agree to have English be the official language.
We won't explore for oil and now have to compete for it with countries like India and China whose thirst for that black gold only increases by the day.
We try to support as many as 20 million illegal aliens many of whom pay no taxes, contribute little, refuse to even learn our language and send many of those earned dollars out of the country.
The sad part is that no one is so blind as one who will not see.

While I did not get a chance to see the closing ceremonies and I'm sure they were spectacular, one should have looked at what China IS capable of and see the handwriting on the wall
