NCR-a few more old pictures... grin

A few years ago my husband and I found some old pictures of a few Virginia & Truckee railroad engines. They were kinda' neat, so we bought 'em. The V&T railroad ran from Virginia City to Carson City and Reno. Most of the gold and silver in the Comstock load was hauled out by the V&T line.

This was Wilbur Clark's private office, in the Desert Inn. The carpet was gold, green & white striped; the handles of the desk drawers were set with genuine silver dollars.

The DI Skyroom was on the third floor, directly atop Wilbur Clark's office. The Skyroom was glass on three sides, overlooking the pool, the mountains and the landscaped grounds. You can see the slot machines along one wall.

left to right: Teddy, Benny & Jack Binion

Reno, 1953. On the right you can make out a sign for the Hay Market Club...not often seen! (Under the "L" in "world" is a "dancing" sign, the Hay Market sign is under that)
