You state that Obama has 143 days of government service, to translate that he has almost completed 3 years of US Senate service. In addition to that he served as an Illinois State Senator for seven years giving him almost ten years of government service.
George W. Bush was governor of Texas for five years. That was his total government service and not a day spent at the federal level. Clinton was a state governor, George H. Bush was the most qualified serving in many different government posts, Regan was a state governor, Carter a state governor. My point is many people who are elected president have had no foreign policy experience and no working experience in Washington so in some respect Mr. Obama is more qualified even with his short service record than a number of recent presidents.
