I will give this a try, but if it does not generate sufficient business I will be out of the eBay business.

To me, if eBay is "just a marketplace" that bring sellers and buyers together, it has no business dictating how we conclude our transactions. I was perfectly willing to add BidPay, Paypal, etc., because it gave the buyer another option. But I am not comfortable removing options.
